Unlike diamonds, coloured gemstones are often graded using a letter-based system to indicate overall quality. This grading gives a quick snapshot of the gemstone’s colour, clarity, and overall appearance.

Common Gemstone Grades

• AAA (Triple A): Top-quality stones with excellent colour, clarity, and brilliance. These gems show vivid, rich colour and minimal inclusions visible to the naked eye.
• AA (Double A): High-quality stones with good colour and clarity. Some minor inclusions may be visible but do not significantly affect beauty.
• A (Single A): Good quality stones with acceptable colour and clarity. More inclusions or less intense color may be present.
• B and Below: Lower quality stones with noticeable inclusions, less desirable colour, or other imperfections.

These grades provide a general guideline but can vary by seller and gemstone type.
